Seoul is renowned for its delicious food, incredible shopping, and electrifying nightlife. Apart from this Seoul is packed with numerous family friendly activities to participate and enjoy.  I assure that the activities hosted are remarkable for the entire family. My family had the best time by participating and enjoying Seoul activities. Children never get exhausted with the thrilling new activities, youngsters are never left out. They have the best shopping and rocking nightlife which makes their trip memorable. Let’s take an immediate glance of a few recreational activities and things to do in Seoul from my experience.

Recreational Activities in Seoul

1. Hiking – is one of the favorite activities of the Koreans. As a tourist I also had the opportunity to mingle with Koreans in Hiking. Since hiking is a very common activity alpine hiking clothes are available at reasonable price in Seoul. I was thrilled to see Koreans gathering together every weekend to hike the hills nearby Seoul, this act encouraged me to participate in hiking and I enjoyed it.

2. Old Fashioned Steam train – are you waiting to travel in the old steam train which puffs out steam and whistle? Then it’s time for children and adults to experience a journey from Seoul station to Uijeongbu. This is one of the interesting Seoul activities to be enjoyed with family. So never miss out this golden journey as a part of Seoul trip.

3. Outdoor activities – the exciting outdoor activities such as cycling, jogging and inline skating is implemented on the banks or parks of the splendid river Han. The park holds pathways with beautiful gardens for activists to ride through the scenic beauty by inhaling fresh air.

4. Golf –is one of the most popular activities among the people of Korea. Since it is considered to be a game of status, it has taken the people through a long journey and new golf courses are emerging out in the years to come. When compared to other countries the membership and fees are reasonable.

5. Skiing– November to March is the right season for various skiing activities with many resorts opened up and skiing equipment’s are made available. Many resorts have made specialized areas for snowboarding. You can rent the equipment’s and clothes for skiing activities which fits your size. Being one of the best recreational activities in Seoul no one should miss this activity. Hope you enjoy this too.

6. Festivals – the Lunar new year festival is one of the famed festival at Seoul where they dress up in Korean dress and perform the olden ritual called ch’ arye – a formality to honor their families. Tradition plays a main role in this festival. If you plan your trip at this time of festival, you can have a chance to vision the varied tradition of Koreans.
